Saima supplies an access control system to Micron Technology

Micron Technology Corporate Background

Micron Technology is a global leader in advanced data storage and archiving solutions, catalyzing the transformation of information into intelligence. Micron’s mission is to accelerate the world’s progress through learning and communication by providing a broad range of cutting-edge technologies at the heart of today’s most significant breakthroughs, such as artificial intelligence and autonomous vehicles.

Micron Technology Needs and Requirements

Micron needed to improve access control. Because the company has highly sensitive areas, it needed to implement a reliable and flexible access control system. The goal was to ensure secure access to the various areas of the building while also facilitating the movement of employees and authorized personnel.

Benefits achieved by Micron Technology

The implementation of the access control system has led to tangible results for Micron Technology:

Badge readers integrated into the employee marking machine.
Improved Security: The system has significantly increased security within sensitive areas of the building, reducing the risk of unauthorized access.
Operational Efficiency: Integrating the system with business operations has streamlined employee flow within the building, reducing downtime and simplifying permit management.
Centralized Control: The ability to manage permissions and monitor access from a centralized dashboard has given Micron greater flexibility in managing security.

Description of the proposed solution: “Swing Gate 330

Saima Sicurezza implemented an access control system that includes the “Swing Gate 330,” an advanced and reliable solution for regulating access. All machines were installed on a specially designated platform. This system was configured to allow local access control via on-board badge readers. Additionally, a control console with a touchscreen interface integrated into the company Ethernet network was placed in the reception area. This device allows for centralized management of access control system operations while ensuring an intuitive user experience. Safety was a key priority in designing this system. An emergency release circuit was interfaced with the evacuation system in the event of a fire, ensuring an immediate and coordinated emergency response.
